Decorations  
The decoration committee is responsible to brighten up both the barn and show area. Banners, flags, streamers, etc., are all items that you may wish to consider. Prepare picture backdrops for show and banquet Arrange for shrubbery, etc., to decorate show arena and backdrop. Make informational signs.

Opening Ceremonies
It should be patriotic, thought provoking, and leave the spectators with a warm feeling.

Hospitality & Greeting
Provide an area where exhibitors and visitors can relax with beverages, snacks etc.

People Registration
The registration  process requires sufficient manpower to be on duty at all times to register people.

T-Shirt & Cap
Show shirts are required for all exhibitors at the junior show. Committee is responsible for seeing that the shirts are ordered and on hand for the show. And for sale prior to show.

  
Grounds
The grounds committee is responsible for the appearance of the facilities and the grounds. They are to arrange for the bedding needed and have extra available during the show.

 
Formal Invitations  
Formal invitations are sent to specific individuals and organizations encouraging them to attend the national junior show. A personal note requesting them to attend along with a copy of the scheduled events often prompts them to come to the activities.

Trade Show/Booths  
Secure companies that will purchase a booth or exhibits during the event. Determine areas available to sell and set a price for each space as some may be worth more than others.

Promotion and Advertising 
Committee responsibilities include seeing that state and local publications carry new releases sent by the American Hereford Association, invite representatives of the various publications to attend the event’s activities and provide them with a schedule of events. Contact the radio and TV stations in the area requesting them to announce your event.

Security  
The Security committee is responsible for working with facility to have proper security personal on premises at all times.  

Showmanship Contest  
The showmanship committee is responsible for working with the national junior boards in running their respective contest.

Judging Contest
  The committee responsible for the judging contest must be well organized so that the contest will run smoothly and swiftly.

 
Hereford Competition  
The Hereford Competition is a new contest that blends the former AJHA Quiz Bowl and NJPHC Beef Bowl, adding some new twists. The equipment consists of two sets of buzzer systems, preferably connected to a 10-second countdown clock. Each of the team members has his/her own buzzer switch located in front of them. The system indicates which player tripped the buzzer first and that contestant is allowed to answer the questions.

Cattle Show  
The show committee is responsible for seeing that entry information is distributed to interested exhibitors. The committee is to assist in developing the rules and regulations for the show, determining the number of classes shown and to recommend any additional group or special classes, committee is in charge of stalling and check in.
